A Touch of Paris- Kate's Parisian Bridal Shower

I was so fortunate to meet the sweet and beautiful Kate Harley this past year. She is a talented blogger with an amazing story!

When I first met Kate at a small networking event I was so impressed by her words of wisdom for instagram and her cute style. After the first time meeting her I knew I wanted to get to know her more and work with her for future collaborations. Kate has been kind enough to model for me for several projects for work. So when she reached out to me about photographing her bridal shower I felt so incredibly honored.

Kate has the cutest style, the warmest smile and a instagram that is complete fire which had me super excited for the bridal shower from day one. She told me it would be at her gorgeous apartment, Union Wharf in Fells Point Baltimore. She also let me know it would be Parisian themed since her and her fiance Tony got engaged in Paris. (Start the swooning now!) Obviously I knew this was going to be one stunning event.

Samantha & Jon- Hunt Valley Country Club

Samantha and Jon tied the knot this past month on June 14th. Their romantic wedding featured bright pinks, navy and blush. The two celebrated at the Hunt Valley Country Club with their friends and family. The details were simple yet elegant while the floral’s were bright and vibrant.

The ceremony was full of happy tears and light laughter. Samantha & Jon wrote their own vows and their wasn’t a dry eye in the seats.

The best man and maid’s of honor had amazing speeches to kick off the reception. It told a story of the sweethearts and the true special, unique and amazing love they share. The DJ’s got the party going that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long.

Samantha & Jon are truly the sweetest couple and one of the most in love pair I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Their love at first sight mentality and humor they share is truly incredible and I know they will have the most amazing future together.

Black, Gold & Blush- Davis wedding at Turf Valley

LaRhonda & Delante tied the knot this past month on May 31st. I met the pair last year at a bridal show in Baltimore City. We had an instant connection and decided to meet again to learn more about each other! One of my first questions is how did you meet? This couple has one of the cutest stories. They met during the huge snow storm a few years ago. Delante helped LaRhonda shovel her car out like the gentleman that he is. The two described their instant connection and how it was love at first sight.

Personally I love a good love story and hearing one as authentic as this one just makes their wedding even more special. You hear a lot of couples say they meet online now vs meeting organically in person. (No shame in that game- just stating facts) But these two met randomly and in a circumstance which would keep most people bundled up inside.

They had the most gorgeous weather for their big day and Turf Valley didn’t disappoint with the beautiful views. Their theme was glam featuring a color scheme of black, gold, blush and glitter!! The couple chose details that really represented them and their families. The groom paid tribute to his grandmothers who had passed by carrying photographs of them as he walked down the isle and also by wearing an under shirt with pictures of them.

Blush, Blues & Violins a romantic wedding at the Seasons at Magnolia Manor

Samantha & Sean tied the knot April 27th 2019! They had the most romantic wedding at The Magnolia Manor in New Windsor Maryland.

They both work in law enforcement and met for the first time during a ride along. Sam accompanied Sean on one of his patrols and it was love at first sight. The pair complement each other so well. Between sharing their love for the law and their cute dog Junior they couldn’t be a better match.

Note: This blog post will be published by the end of this month on Brides & Weddings Magazines!! Stay tuned for the date!

Glitz, Glam & Skylines At The Four Seasons

Glitz, Glam & Skylines At The Four Seasons

Skylines that provide views and Romantic. A wedding to remember at The Four Seasons, Baltimore full of bright floral’s, dancing and laughter

First looks are everything...

As my wedding season quickly approaches (2 weeks away!!!) I wanted to take a moment and talk about one of my absolute favorite moments to capture during the big day.

THE FIRST LOOK….

Guys! First looks are a must during the day of your wedding. There is absolutely nothing more special and intimate then sharing a personal moment with your loved ones once you are all dolled up.

First looks between the couple to me are the most romantic thing. I even favor these moments over the traditional walking down the isle and seeing the bride for the first time. Now let me tell you why. Not that the traditional way isn’t amazing and romantic as well but there are so many eyes watching you. It creates a lot of pressure and sometimes can be distracting to the couple. (Who want to focus on each other)

When you do a first look it allows just the two of you to have an intimate moment that helps set the tone for the day. In my opinion I see the really RAW emotions come out when there is no other eyes watching and it’s just the two people that matter the most that day. (And me of course!) This to me is the most romantic moment of the whole wedding day. It’s real and raw and definitely a moment you will never forget. Also, an added plus it helps create a smooth timeline for the entire event and will allow more time for you to spend with your guests!

Now if you want to stick with the traditional walking down the isle then let’s try another option for a first look. Capturing genuine emotion is one of the most amazing things and really creates some magical images. I love when brides do a first look with their bridesmaids once she is in her dress. Your girls are your biggest support system and cheerleaders on your wedding day. If you surprise them with a first look and not let them see you in the dress until its on and you are ready to go well… Just take a look below..

Now… my absolute favorite option… The Daddy Daughter first look. Now I may favor this because I can picture this moment with my own father and it gets me every single time but ladies this shot is a MUST. Your dad will always be your forever date no matter what as well as your biggest fan and this is the best gift you could give him on probably the proudest day of his life… Seeing his little girl in her wedding dress for the first time is going to be the most special memory for him and to me is the biggest tear jerker. (Along with the father, daughter dance) Again.. because I can relate.

Check out one of my all time favorite Daddy, Daughter looks below…

So again, FIRST LOOKS ARE EVERYTHING!! If you are planning your wedding and considering a first look I hope this post helps you make the decision. These moments are real, raw and meaningful. They are the ones you will never want to forget.

Happy Monday everyone and cheers to the 2019 wedding season!

Walking in a winter wonderland

A low key wedding with a touch of snow.

Erin & Paul tied the knot in a very small intimate church wedding during the first Friday in February. They celebrated with a small group of family members and their adorable children. After the intimate ceremony at their family church in Union Bridge they celebrated at the most charming restaurant, Vintage located in the historic New Market Maryland.

http://www.vintage-eats.com/

The unexpected snow wasn’t in the forecast for the day but it really started coming down as the ceremony started. We were super excited to grab the opportunity for some quick snow shots which just created the most romantic dreamy look. Despite how cold the air was these two couldn’t be more cozy together.

Congratulations Erin & Paul!
