A Timeless Springfield Manor Wedding Jon & Ji tie the knot

The Couple

November 28th was straight out of a Disney movie at Springfield Manor for Jon & Ji! This timeless Springfield Manor wedding took place After Covid rocked everyone’s world and forced this sweet, sweet couple to postpone their April wedding to November, Jon & Ji made the most of the situation and celebrated with their closest family and friends. They had to downsize the guest list and create a covid friendly atmosphere which included boxed individual to-go meals for everyone and all wedding events held outdoors. It was the perfect mix of Chinese culture and winery chic.

The Venue

Springfield Winery is a beautiful venue in Thurmont Maryland. It’s a 130 acre estate that sits atop its own limestone aquifer, that produces the signature Limestone Spring Water which Springfield Manor was named. It is the perfect venue for that timeless wedding look.

Jon and Ji had already married earlier in the year with a small ceremony with only their immediate family and a few friends but continued to celebrate with a larger group of 50 of their closest family members and friends for their November wedding. They shared a romantic first look that was full of happy tears and joy. 

The Ceremony

During the ceremony the two exchanged their vows that they wrote to each other. Jon joked how when he met Ji she said all she wanted was to find a Chinese boy who spoke English and shared the same last name as her, Choi so she didn’t have to change her name. She obviously met the guy of her dreams and checked all of her boxes. After sharing their first kiss the two cut their wedding cake before the ceremony ended and their reception started. 

The Reception

Now their reception was straight out of a Disney Movie. Ji changed into her reception dress and the pair shared their first dance to a whole new world.  WOW was it romantic. To keep things on a light note Ji and her father shared a choreographed dance while Jon and his mom shared a touching mother son dance that had everyone in tears. To keep the party going the guests got to partake in a raffle and fun door prizes. Ji & Jon also planned an epic lip sync battle that had me shook. It was truly amazing. 

To finish off the celebration the two snuck away for some sunset photos then said goodbye to their guests as they grabbed their to-go dinners and parted ways. I loved working with these two and I cannot wait to see what life has in store for them.
